Importing Bidders from Third Party Platforms

If you are using third party bidding platforms, it is necessary to import any successful bidders from these platforms into your Snoofa Back Office. This can be done during or after the auction.

Different import templates

  • There are two third party bidding platforms that Snoofa has custom import templates for. It is necessary to have different templates per platform as each platform exports the registration in a different format. Here are the templates required to import registrations for both EasyLive and The-Saleroom. These CSV templates are attached at the bottom of this page.

How to run the Imports

  • To import clients you will need to have extracted the CSV file from the third party platform. It must be in .csv format to upload.
  • When ready to upload, click the plus icon in the top panel menu and select Import (if you can't see the import option, contact support@snoofa.com)

  • Select the Import Type. In this instance we are interested in either ATG Registrations (The-saleroom) or Easy Live Registrations. Do not choose Clients. For more information about importing clients generally, click here.

  • Choose the auction (Sale) you wish to import clients into

  • Click Choose file and upload the CSV file from your device
  • Click Upload
  • If the CSV file is in the wrong format, you will see an error message in the top right hand side of the screen:

  • If this happens you will need to adjust the CSV file to match the template provided in this article. If this still doesn't work, contact Snoofa Support.
  • All being well, you will instead see this screen:
  • Click Start import
  • Click Yes on the confirmation dialogue

  • The import will run and you will need to refresh your screen. Hopefully the screen will update to show Progress 100% and Errors 0
  • If there are errors, they will show in the Errors box. Click on List of errors

  • You will see a pop-up showing the reasons for the errors

  • Now you need edit your CSV file to remove the errors. The lines of the CSV that did not have errors will have been uploaded successfully

Seeing your imported clients

  • You can view the clients that you have successfully imported by viewing the main Clients datagrid. The 'Reg. Source' will show you how the clients were created.
  • You can also sort the datagrid by the Registration Date to see the most recent at the top

  • Ensure you have the Pending status enabled in the filters as these clients will be pending when they are imported
  • You can also check the Registrations tab of the auction that you are importing into. Your new registrations should appear in this list, segmented by the registration type.
