Dashboard - Where It Starts

The Dashboard is where it starts on Snoofa, both when you first login & when you go to a specific Auction. The main Dashboard gives you an overview of all your statistics, and the Auction Dashboard relating to a specific Auction, does the same.

They are designed to be snapshots of your key statistics, not detailed reports. The Main Dashboard is also not visible to all Users, it appears only to Users with Owner Status, as it is intended to be a management view, including snapshot of financial history.

How-To Break It Down

Everything from Total Revenue, to Best Buyers, to how many Lots Sold or Unsold. The Main Dashboard can be date specific, want to see your statistics for the year so far? No problem, simply change the start date to 01.01.20XX & your Dashboard will load & display those statistics.

Auction specific Dashboards do not have date changing functionality, as the statistics relate to exact dates already. But also include Auction Name, Type, Dates, & even Description. Auction Dashboards also very importantly have the controls, in this case buttons, that can Delete, Launch, Publish, Lock, etc, Auctions.

Auction Dashboard Controls

Form FieldExplanation
Launch AuctionOnce an Auction Catalogue is finalised, no more changes necessary, & it's ready to be published, the Auction can be Launched. This will move the Auction from Planned Status to In Progress Status (meaning bids can be accepted). If any Lots in the Catalogue have missing mandatory information, the Launch Auction button cannot be clicked.
Close Client Input / Re-Open Client InputThis will remove the ability for Clients to place Absentee (commission) bids once in the In Progress State (Live Auctions only). This action can be reversed (Re-Open Client Input).

A scenario where this is useful, is when holding a Live Auction & printing the Auctioneers Book. When the Book is generated & taken to the Auctioneer in order for the Auction to begin, it will display all Absentee bids submitted up until that point.

If bidders then continue to place bids once the Auctioneers Book has been printed, the Auctioneer may miss these bids. Staff would have to be continually updating the Book during the Auction. Your Admins can however still input Absentee bids.
CloseOnce an Auction has ended, Close Auction will move the online Catalogue from Upcoming to Past Auctions. It then also becomes possible to move the Auction into the Aftersale State. Post auction activity such as Invoicing, can continue to occur.
Publish / RetractWhilst in a Planned State, it's possible to Publish the details of an Auction. This will not Publish the Catalogue, but add the Auction to the website calendar with some basic sale information. This action can be reversed (Retracted).
Lock / UnlockWhen in a Planned State, it's possible to Lock it, so changes cannot be made. This can prevent mistakes, like Users changing Lot numbers. This action can be reversed (Unlock).
DeleteThis will delete an Auction. The Items within Auction will not be deleted, but will be unassigned from the Auction. Only Users with the Roles Owner, Admin and Admin (client) are able to delete an Auction.
Clerk AuctionThis takes you to the Clerking page (not to be confused with the Live Auction Clerk Screen. The Clerking page allows Admins to input Hammer amounts, Winner names / paddles, & select Lots to Resolve them as Sold / Unsold, & Set as Aftersale.
Launch AftersaleFor moving all Unsold Lots into an Aftersale, which relists them on the website & make them open to Aftersale offers.
Archive AuctionOnce all Post-Auction activity has concluded, an Auction can be Archived into a read-only state. This is when no further action needs to take place; all Invoicing & Settlement has been completed.

Once you take this action, all invoices and settlements will be locked & cannot be changed. It is irreversible, so be very sure before you proceed.
Launch DARThis will Launch DAR (Digital Auction Room), giving access to the tools for running Live Auctions online. These are the Room Screen, Auctioneer Screen, Clerk Screen, & Stream Control settings.

Auction Dashboard Sections

Form FieldExplanation
AuctionsThis section shows a list of Auctions that have happened or are scheduled, within the date range chosen.
Lots SoldThis section shows the percentage & amounts of Lots which are Sold/Unsold, & whether they were in Aftersale or the actual Auction.
Total RevenueThis section shows the sum of all the Item Charges which are listed as Revenue Charges, with the date range chosen.

This should be an accurate representation of how much money your Auctions have made from listed Auctions, within the date range chosen.
Total ValueThis section lists the top level totals, such as Total Reserve & Total Hammer Price, for the date range chosen.
Buyer TotalThis section shows the totals of all Item Charges which are marked as Buyer Charges, within chosen  date range.
Vendor TotalThis section shows the totals of all Item Charges which are marked as Vendor Charges, within chosen date range.
Number of Bids & BiddersThis section lists the Number of Bids & Number of Bidders, within chosen date range.
Best 5 Lots, Buyers & VendorsThese sections list the Best 5 Lots, the Best 5 Buyers & the Best 5 vendors, in terms of money, within chosen date range.

The final section is the Valuation Days Map, which unlike the overall statistical management snapshots discussed above. Shows to all Users, not just those with Owner Status.

Lastly it is worth taking note of the top section of the Auction Dashboard, & the at a glance snapshots it gives of the Auctions current state. E.g., Planned (Pre Auction), In Progress (during Auction), Ended (Auction over), Aftersale (in Aftersale), Archived (over & read only).

As well as an Auctions Status, it also at a glance shows you which Category the Auction is in, e.g., Fine Art & Antiques. If the an Auction is Locked, Unlocked, Published, etc. Very useful to be able to find out quickly.
