Webcam - Live Streaming Issues

If you find that you are unable to find your webcam when connecting to Snoofa for live sales, please make sure of the following.

1. Please check the webcam is plugged in securely, if not a built in cam.

2. Please check if the webcam is working in general on your computer. With other software & websites. If it is not, then this suggests the issue is your end. Testing your webcam using a website such as https://webcamtests.com/ will assist you with this.

3. If the webcam seems to work via installed software, but not via your web browser, please check your browsers settings. They can be set to block all websites or even just specific sites. This is usually through its privacy settings.

4. If you have a second web browser installed, it is worth seeing if the webcam will work using that one instead.

5. If you have security software installed, such as anti-virus, please check its settings. It could be blocking camera access.

6. Check any web browser extensions installed, it could be one is causing the failure. You can disable them via your browsers settings.

You can find other help online for this issue. Below some links that might help.

If you are seeing a page like this, with Select camera & Select audio input, empty. Then please try the below instructions.

Window you will likely see, with no webcam showing within Select camera dropdown

Go to to the small padlock icon (or similar) that comes before the website address, while on the Stream Control page. Click on it & find Permissions for this site, or a similar link within that.

The exact icons, names & layout differs slightly on each browser.

 Browser Settings For Current Page

Then on the resulting page that it brings up, find camera & set to Allow. Once you have done that refresh the pages, & then see if that helps. You may also need to perform this process for your microphone, if your Select audio input is empty.
