Bidders are able to book phone lines to bid on lots in live auctions for themselves through the Client Zone.
However, it may be desired that clients aren’t able to book themselves as many of these lots as they wish, or any at all, due to staff resources. Here is a quick outline of how to limit or remove bidder phone line booking.
In the Sale Settings section of the General Settings, there is a field called Max Phone Lot Interests per Registration:
Whichever number is entered into this field will be the total amount of phone lines a bidder is able to book. Here is how this restriction will appear in the Client Zone:
To remove the ability to book any phone lines, simply set the value in the field above to 0.
Pending Phone Registrations
It is also possible to require an administrator to confirm a bidder registering in an auction for phone bidding via the Client Zone.
To do this, also in the Sale Settings section of the General Settings, switch the Phone Registrations Confirmation option to Manual rather than Automatic. Any registrations will then be in the Pending state until approved by an admin:
