General - Settings

Here you will find Settings, lots of Settings. From Sale Settings to Notifications Settings, to Date & Time Formatting. The Snoofa system gives you control of General Settings.

General Settings Form

How-To Set Sale Settings

Let's start at the top, with Sale Settings. make your way to General, within System Settings & let's get started.

Sale Settings Form Fields

Form Field	Explanation
Lot Interval*	The length of time between lots, in seconds. When this value is updated, & a lot added to a sale. Lots get reordered, & their end times changed to reflect the new interval, defined by this setting.
Extend Lot Threshold*	When a bid is placed, within the time defined by this setting. A lots end time will be extended by the time defined within the Extend Lot By, setting
Extend Lot By*	When a bid is placed, within the time defined by the Extend Lot Threshold, setting. The lots end time is extended by the time defined in this setting.
Bid Value Increments*	Clients can only place bids equal to the amounts defined within this setting. Please use integers, separated by commas, in increments.
Main Currency*	For selecting the currency to be used in auctions, invoiced, etc.
Preview Client*	Account used to see content of unpublished sales.
Show Hammer Price of Sold Lots*	If Yes, then hammer prices of sold lots, will be visible to Clients on the Lot Details page. Unless marked as sensitive.
Show Buyer charges*	If Yes, then buyer charges, will be visible to Clients on the Lot Details page.
Always show Condition report*	If Yes, then the Condition Report field, will be visible to Clients on the Lot Details page. Even if not logged in.
Show countdown On Lots list page*	If Yes, then the countdown, will be visible to Clients on the Lot List page.
Auction Catalogue Lot view*	For choosing Catalogue Lot View.
Max Phone Lot Interests per Registration*	For setting how many Phone Lot Interests are allowed to be booked by bidders for live sales. Choose 0 to remove the ability.
Show Lot Bid history*	If Yes, the bid history will be visible to Clients on the Lot Details page.
Show estimates*	If yes, estimates will be visible on public facings areas.
Print Signatures on Consignment*	If yes, signatures will be printed on Consignment PDFs.
Show Loss/Damage on Presale PDF*	If yes, the Loss/Damage column will be visible on Presale PDFs.
Phone Registration Confirmation*	If set to Manual, new Phone Registrations are set to Pending & need to be Confirmed by your Admins.
Default Lot Sorting Mode*	If set to Standard, Drag & Drop Lot Sorting is enabled with new lots appended. Also Lot Numbers are automatically reassigned if Lots removed. If set to Automatic, Lot Sorting is based on defined criteria, which is within Advanced Settings on Auction edit pages. If set to Manual, Lot Numbers must be edited by typing in new numbers. Drag & Drop is disabled numbers are not reassigned if Lots removed.

More General Settings

Form Field	Explanation
Company Information	The information you enter within this section will become Variables that can be inserted into e.g., Invoices by adding {companyRegisteredAddress} into the Document Footer that can be found within Appearance, also within System Settings.
Notification Settings	Here you can choose which staff members receive which notifications, by just adding them to the relevant section.
Invoice Settings	This setting allows you to effect invoices, e.g., UK VAT Rate, which will impact calculations of future Invoices.
Settlement Settings	In short this will show or not unsold lots on the Settlement document.
Item Settings	So you can provide a list of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) for cataloguing.
Terms & Conditions	Very much as the name suggests, this is where you record your Terms & Conditions for displaying.
Date & Time Formatting	For setting the Time Zone, where your Auction House operates.

NOTE: Invoice Settings includes the ability to set Invoice Reminders. Setting these can have unexpected consequences if you have been using Snoofa for a time, e.g., if you had not previously been marking when invoices were paid. As to send reminders it looks for invoices not marked as paid.
