Payment Methods - Add, Edit & Hide

You can add your own payment methods within Snoofa, and you can edit them and also hide them from public view, so they are then removed as an option for your client in the Client Zone. It is also possible to choose a default Payment Method, to encourage Clients to pay in a way that is convenient for you.

How-To Add Payment Methods

Login, go to Payment Methods within System Settings, & click the + Add Payment Method button. This will bring up the form you need to fill in, for your new Payment Method.

Form FieldExplanation
Name*A required field, this is your choice of name for your Payment Method, e.g. Credit Card.
Fee ConstantAn optional field, for a Flat Fee which you want to charge per transaction, within your new Payment Method.

If the default Payment Method has a Fee, it is added to Invoices automatically, therefore if a Client pays by a different Method, the Fee will need to be removed from the Invoice.
Fee Rate
Also optional, for alternatively charging a Percentage Fee you want to charge per transaction.
CapAn optional limit of the maximum to allow per transaction, using the Payment Method. This means that when an amount to be paid is above the Cap, a Client is not able to choose this option. An Admin can however override this.

If the default Payment Method has a Cap & the Invoice total is above it, the Snoofa System will fall-back to choosing Bank Transfer as the Payment Method.
Is ActiveActive Payment Methods are available to Admins for adding to Invoices & Settlements. If you do not wish the Payment Method to be used, untick & save.
Is PublicPublic Payment Methods are available to Clients within the Client-Zone, to use for paying. If you do not wish for Clients to be able to use the Payment Method, untick & save.


NOTE: To pay via Client-Zone, clients must choose Online Card Payment in the Invoice Questionnaire. If a different method is selected, online payment won't be an option. Clients resolve this by selecting Online Card Payment or an admin can switch the invoice method.
